took his final walk through space today.
encased in his one man ship,
he slipped on his final suit and closed his eyes ready
to be hurled out again
the countdown was preordained, his mission was predestined.
and so he went, to his final walk through space
he traveled through aries and aquarius, saw jupiter and mars.
he touched the sun
and with that he said "I'm ready."
encased in his ship,
the explosion of life came through.
the bang tore him to bits,
I saw the bravest astronaut tonight,
his million twinkling eyes all representing the many brave astronauts
