100 sq ft

we were never ones to keep secrets from each other because we were the bare-all types, naked, no cover.

in the 100 sq ft apartment we had, we couldn't hide away from each other.
like the messed up sheets on the bed that had the clues to what happened last night, like the clothes on the floor that i always asked "babe, do you really need anymore? with the water from the bathroom that you carried to our bed.

like the shoes that were scattered along with our school work - papers spread. like our dirty laundry that was lined with your attitude problem and my ineptness at passion,
your anger issues and my push over mentality,
my clumsiness and your emotional immaturity
your separation anxiety and my apt for jealousy -
everything was out in the open -
messed, scattered, flung
we never kept anything from each other because we couldn't hide from each other. aside from the covers that we'd hide under, we were together.

like our small flat,
everything was left out in the open.
